About the GMAT
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is one of the most difficult standardized tests. It requires you to use a wide range of skills including writing, mathematics and verbal comprehension:
- The Quantitative Section tests your mathematical ability in many ways. The questions are very tricky and if you aren't totally focused, it's easy to pick the wrong answer.
- The Analytical Writing Assessment Section requires you to analyze the issue presented and explain your point of view on the subject. Mental focus is critical on this section.
- The Verbal Section tests your ability to read and comprehend written material, evaluate arguments, and correct written material. This requires high self-confidence and concentration to score well.
Your GMAT score is one of the most important deciding factors in which business school you attend. The higher the score, the better business school. The better the business school, the better the job.
Since the GMAT is scored on a “scale”, this means that your score is graded relative to every other GMAT test taker. So any edge you can get makes a huge difference in the long run.
